Let your children run free in the New Forest ……….for Free. From 20th March to 30th June 2016 up to two children go free at the Cottage Lodge in our child friendly room the Gillies Holt on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. At the top of a barn, this secludes room is fun and away from it all. Chef Phil Holmes has just seen our last post and said that he doesn’t want to disappoint anyone who wants to come to the Fallen Tree for a valentine’s meal on Saturday February 13th. He is happy to welcome early diners at 5pm (need table back for 7pm), 5.15pm (need table back for 7.15) and 5.30pm (need table back for 7.30pm).  Just ring 01590 622296 to book.

Just a couple of tables are left at the Fallen Tree Restaurant, based at the Cottage Lodge for last minute romantics looking for somewhere to take their sweetheart this valentine’s day. There are two tables left on Friday 12th for early Valentiners and three tables left on the big day itself, 14th February. If you would like to book just ring 01590 622296. On both evenings we are doing a five course menu with a glass of prosecco to start you off on the right foot.

Escape to the beautiful New Forest National Park during the February half term and let the children run along the sea shore, climb fallen trees in the forest, and explore the wonders of nature. The St Barbe’s Museum in Lymington is hosting an ‘Out of Egypt’ Exhibition. A great little museum with a focus on history. This is a wonderful way to spend and hour or two. The New Forest is hosting a spectacular walking festival from 15th to 30th October 201. Led by the New Forest National Park Authority and partner organisations, the 2015 Walking Festival included Wildlife Walks, History Hikes, Accessible Walks, Activity Walks, Family Adventures, Shorter Strolls and Longer Walks. The New Forest Walking Festival 2015 was sponsored by Stewarts, more than just Garden Centres.

Feb – 16-18 March 22-24 April 19-21 May 17-19 June 21-23 July 19-21 August – 23-25 Sept 20-22 Oct- 18-20 Nov 15-17 Dec 6-8 The break will include 4 hours’ instruction over 2 days resulting in a Nordic Walking UK Freedom Card which will allow participants to walk with any other NWUK group in the country.
