What to do in the New Forest in the February Half Term

Escape to the beautiful New Forest National Park during the February half term and let the children run along the sea shore, climb fallen trees in the forest, and explore the wonders of nature. There are still a few family rooms left for the half term at the family run small hotel the Cottage Lodge.

If it rains there is so much to do. The St Barbe’s Museum in Lymington is hosting an ‘Out of Egypt’ Exhibition. A great little museum with a focus on history. This is a wonderful way to spend and hour or two.

Sir Howard Hillier Gardens are hosting their famous ‘ Snowdrop Drama’, a pleasure and a joy to see. The children go free.

New Forest Activities are offering two for the price of one for Canoeing and Kayaking on the beautiful Beaulieu river. An exciting couple of hours fun for families of all school age children.

If the weather turns really nasty there is bowling and multiplex cinemas in Southampton, Winchester and Bournemouth. Along with lots of covered shopping areas. All three cities are easily accessible with a short train ride.
