The Cottage Lodge Hotel in Brockenhurst

Set in the heart of the New Forest village of Brockenhurst, Cottage Lodge is a small family run 2 star hotel offering 15 en-suite bedrooms.

This quirky hotel offers cosy rooms, personal reserved parking space, great wifi along with tea, coffee and cake on arrival.

Cottage Lodge is a great couples venue but has its limitations for parties of four or more.

The original parts of Cottage Lodge were constructed in 1650 from a former trading ship. This construction means we have limited public spaces:  a small Snug Bar and a charming breakfast room. But, no lounge area. If you are a group of over four you may want to consider gathering in the nearby pub.

As a two star hotel we are not required to offer a restaurant service in the evening. However, we are very lucky to have a wonderful chef, Martin Packard, who runs Whitetails restaurant on site, Tuesday to Sunday nights, 48 weeks of the year.

All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, TVs and hairdryers. Irons and ironing boards are available on request.

What makes us different?

Cottage Lodge is just a few minutes walk from open forest, lovely pubs, railway station and cycle hire. The location of Cottage Lodge means that you are in the middle of everything but just a few minutes away from a timeless forest.

We offer personalised parking spaces to all customers coming by car. One per room. Let us know if you have a particularly large car so we can make sure you have one or our larger spaces.

Tea and cake is available as part of your room rate free of charge from 9am to 6.30pm every day. Just ask for a pot of tea and help yourselves to cake as you want it.

Cottage Lodge is just across the road from the broadband exchange. So we get good wifi. The forest is notoriously difficult to get wifi, so this can be a plus point to some people.

We like to celebrate with you, so let us know if you have a birthday or a special occasion so we can spoil you.

We try and bring the forest into the hotel, so you will find local produce and locally sourced furniture.
