Dog friendly accommodation in the New Forest
Dogs are welcome at the Cottage Lodge in our Snug Bar, and three of our 16 hotel bedrooms.
We ask dog owners not to bring their dogs into the restaurant or the other hotel bedrooms for hygiene and allergy reasons.
Dog-friendly hotel rooms
Up to two medium size dogs are allowed in our dog friendly accommodation.
Dog-friendly hotel rooms are: the Morant Room, Tom Hayter and Rufus Stone.
Walking out from our dog-friendly hotel
We have 94,000 acres of open forest on the doorstep perfect to walk your dog.
Rules to maintain our pet-friendly accommodation
There are only a few rules:
1 We welcome your pet into our dog-friendly hotel rooms. There is a small charge of £10.00 per night per pet. It is a rare day if any dog causes damage. But sometimes accidents happen. Please tell us if you or your dog cause any damage so that we can put it right before the next guest. Small things we don’t charge for, but we must charge for bigger things.
2 You are welcome to bring your dog into the Snug bar to have breakfast with you. If your dog is unattended in the room please tell us and leave your mobile number if you are leaving the building. That way we can listen out for barking and alert you if your dog is in distress or disturbing other guests. Please do not leave your dogs unattended for long periods.
3 You can walk your dog just a few hundred yards from the hotel, outside the school. There is also a red bin waste bin for dogs outside the school. Our neighbours have asked us to ask you a favour. The green opposite is used by the local children to play. Our neighbours would be grateful if you don’t use the green for your dog.
And finally …….
All three pubs in the village are dog-friendly. So there is no shortage of good places to dine out from the Cottage Lodge hotel.
Bring your dog and explore 94,000 acres of open forest in the New Forest National Park as well as beaches and pubs.
