We have 2 comfortable dog friendly rooms at the Cottage Lodge and they are always very popular. But, what if you’d like to visit somewhere that doesn’t allow your canine companion? What if our dog friendly rooms are full at the time you’d like to visit? What can you do? Here’s what we suggest..

What’s on offer?

We are pleased to announce a collaboration with the local Hampshire company Sophie’s pet care. They offer a unique doggie day-care for pet owners staying at Cottage Lodge. It’s a wonderful days out service. They can also arrange overnight accommodation (minimum 2 nights) with their sister company Sophie’s pet holidays if required. Sophie’s offers a great solution to enable you to have your New Forest adventure and relax knowing that your VIP “very important pooch” ( as they like all dogs to be known), is having a wonderful time too!

Doggie day-care New Forest from Cottage Lodge

Sophie’s pet care offer full days of dog sitting with their experienced Pet Rangers visiting carefully selected and pre planned locations. So for anyone holidaying in the New Forest with your dog. “Doggy days out” means that you can drop your dog off for the day knowing they’ll have a unique canine adventure and will be very well cared for, and you can take the opportunity to visit somewhere that you can’t go to otherwise with the dog. 

There’s even the option to leave them overnight whilst you stay at Cottage Lodge, collecting them fresh for an adventure with you the next morning and enabling you to keep your pet close by rather than with kennels near your home. This is a great option if our dog friendly rooms are booked out!
