We have all craved extra space recently and here at Cottage Lodge we have found a cute solution to add outdoor space for some of our rooms. Why not choose one of our rooms with outdoor space when you book? These rooms are fantastic for gaining a little extra space and great to retreat to when you return to the hotel.

Which rooms have garden spaces?

Here at the hotel we have tried vey hard to maximise the outdoor space for our guests. We have a rear cottage garden which allows 7 of our 16 rooms to enjoy a little added garden space.

These cottage rooms have a cute little exterior area allocated to them for guests to enjoy in fine weather. They are the perfect spot to unwind in with a cup of tea (or something stronger). 3 of the rooms are also dog-friendly, so after a day of exploring the local area with your canine companion, you can relax outside your room together.

Rooms with cottage gardens.

The Wilverley, is a beautiful 4 poster room. It has one of our quirky New Forest tree beds. It is on the ground floor and benefits from a cute patio area to offer our guests a little privacy. This is the perfect place to enjoy a good book on a sunny afternoon.

Our ground floor cosy double room, Burley is situated in the newer wing of the hotel. It benefits from a wet room and a is a very comfortable and popular room. Like the Wilverley, it too has a delightful patio garden to enjoy.

Rooms with patio areas.

The Morant and Tom Hayter are bedrooms that sit side by side. They are ideal for guests wishing to stay close to friends and family and enjoy gated patio terraces. These rooms are also dog-friendly; you can choose them and relax knowing that your canine companion is secure. These rooms are also ideal for guests with older children. You can book more space as a family. The Morant can be made as a twin room and parents can occupy the double Tom Hayter room next door!

The Gillies Holt is a fabulous 1st floor 4 poster room. This “bolt hole” is accessed with a private external stairway. We have recently given this room a little spot of its own for Gillies residents to enjoy. A single bed can also be added to the room for small family getaways.

The Rufus Stone is a newly refurbished garden room, which now enjoys a little suntrap for sunny afternoons. A light and airy room with a fresh new look. This is one of our most popular cottage rooms with outdoor space.

The Bolderwood is a little gem. A compact room, but with everything you need for a restful stay. It also benefits from a small outdoor seating to take advantage of.

Dog friendly

3 of our rooms are dog friendly. Our team of Housekeepers take extra time and efforts to ensure that these rooms are left impeccably for all guests. We charge a small fee for any canine guests to stay. This enables us to see that rooms are refreshed and repainted more often. They benefit from hard wood floors and stripped back furnishings to enable a proper deep clean.

Smoke Free

Please note that we do not allow smoking anywhere within the property and this also applies especially to any of our garden room areas within the hotel grounds. At the hotel we are committed to a smoke-free environment. We like to ensure we are providing a clean and healthy escape for all our guests.

Smokers are please asked to smoke well away from the property.
