Cottage Lodge and Fallen Tree reopen

After a little Christmas holiday the team at Cottage Lodge and Fallen Tree reopen this morning at 10am. You are very welcome to phone us or email us and we will be delighted to help you.

We still have plenty of room availability for the first weekend in January and a few rooms left for Twiztmas.

Also there are tables available at the Fallen Tree Restaurant in the evening.

2016 is set to be a very exciting year for the Fallen Tree Restaurant. We are enlarging and refurbishing the restaurant in the early part of January so at the end of January we will be relaunching with a new image, new colours, new menu and a new look. Fresh for 2016.

If you want to come and visit us you will be so welcome.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very happy new year and we hope to have the great pleasure of welcoming you back to the Cottage Lodge and Fallen Tree Restaurant in 2016.

Our special deals run through January, February, March, November and December 2016. If you are looking for a bargain then consider coming mid-week term-time. All our rooms are three nights for the price of two. (dates excluded are the school holiday and Friday/Saturday nights). If you stay in the Little Alice you can have three nights for just £100 for two people including breakfast and VAT. A four poster room is from £198 for three nights for two people inclusive of breakfast and VAT. What a bargain!!

Looking for the ‘best value’ times of year to come to the Forest?

There are several times of the year that are amazing value.

Early November is a really interesting time to come to the forest. The trees from Canada and Norway look amazing alongside the beautiful UK trees and the autumn colours are at their best. Also the Cottage Lodge has special deals…. three nights for the price of two.

The week after the Easter school holidays is always a little quieter than normal. The spring flowers are out and the forest is beautiful. The prices at the Cottage Lodge are slightly softer because this week is generally a little quieter than the Easter holiday and it is just before the main influx of customers in May.

June is a good month to come and visit. May is the month when the spring flowers are out and the New Foals start to arrive. So May is the busiest month of the year. This means there is a little lull after the May influx and June is a slightly softer month to come in terms of pricing.

Looking for a school holiday?

February is a good school holiday to consider. There is plenty to do. As well as walking and cycling in the forest there is a wonderful cinema complex and theatres in Southampton, Bournemouth and Winchester. There are three spas in our village to revive yourselves. Beaulieu motor museum is open. Walking along the sea front is bracing and can sometimes be very exciting. The ferries are operating to the isle of wight. And, of course there are lots of pubs with roaring open fires to investigate.

We hope to have the pleasure of your company in 2016

Take care

Christina, Phil, Paulina, Sandy, and all the team
