Room Facilities

Tea and coffee trays: come with a selection of Fair Trade coffee, tea and sugar available in your room. Fresh milk and home made cakes (using local ingredients) available in the Snug Bar.

Internet Access: we have a wireless router situated in the dining room along with a computer that is accessible for all guests to access their emails etc.

The strength of the signal in each individual room depends on how far they are from the router. When we took our laptop around the building these are the signal strengths reported in each room:

Good: Exbury, Foresters, Mills, Morant, Tom Hayter

Fair: Bolderwood, Knightwood, Verderer's Rest

Poor: Burley, King William , Wilverely (we have tried getting internet access in these rooms with a poor connection. It is possible but it is slower.)

In-room safes: keep your passports or valuables secure in the in-room safes in your room. By following a set of simple instructions you can personalise your code.

TV’s: You will find BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel Four and CNN News 24 on your TV. Most rooms have a video machine (except the Knightwood) and we offer a selection of video classics for you to choose from.

Hair dryer: you will find a hair dryer in the top drawer of your dressing table.

Pillows and duvets: All the pillows and duvets are hyperallergenic (no feather and down). They are replaced annually. All the linen on the bed (including the duvet covers) are fresh for every guest. A spare pillow and blanket are kept in the top of the wardrobe. If you need more just ask.

En-suite: in your en-suite you will find a basket with complimentary cotton wool balls and ear buds. You will also find face cloths, bath sheets and hand towels, and a range of Gilchrist and Soames products; shampoo, conditioner, hand cream and soap. The water is softened for your comfort. There is also Radox bubble bath in rooms with baths and Radox shower gel where there are showers.
