We are delighted to offer our first dog friendly new forest accommodation. Complete with wooden floors, an enclosed patio garden and a tap for those days when your dog got just too dirty for words. This room has been designed for you and your dog.
We charge £5 per day per dog. We have found that the room needs painting a little more often than the other rooms. It was last painted in January 2013.
The Morant is a simple but comfortable room with a zip and link bed which can be set as a double or as a twin. It has a patio garden which is right next door to our small kitchen. We put the dog friendly room near us so that we could hear your dog if it got distressed when you were in the restaurant having breakfast. If you want to have breakfast with your dog there are a couple of choices. In the good weather you can use the patio for breakfast. In the cooler weather you can have breakfast with your dog in the snug bar.
Whilst we are on the subject of eating with your dog, there are three pubs in the village that let your bring your dog or dogs right in under the table. This means you don't have to leave your dog unattended in the room.
The Morant also has a little dressing area which you can use for your dog bed, bowls etc. The dressing area leads you into the bathroom which has a bath with shower over.
We do ask that you pay for any damage your dog causes during its stay. If you are staying in the Morant and don't have a dog we would just like you to know that we clean the room very thoroughly.
Internet access is available in two ways: 1. On our computer in the Gillies Restaurant. 2. On your own wireless computer via our router. The signal in the Snug Bar and the Restaurant is Excellent.
