The New forest
Cottage Lodge B&B Brockenhurst is situated in the heart of the New Forest National Park. The new park is 94,000 of open forest and heathland stretching from the South coast to north of Southampton. The forest is beautiful all year round. It is particularly popular in the spring and autumn when the colours in the forest are at their best. New Forest Ponies, cattle, pigs and donkeys wander freely about the forest.

The park has 192 kilometers of wide, gravelled off road cycling paths, hundreds of miles of walking tracks and endless places to horseride.

Physical Activities:
For the more energetic of you the forest offers plenty of Walking opportunities. There is also Cycling and Brokenhurst has two local hire shops incase you have forgotten your own. For a slightly more leisurely experience there is Horse riding and with three local stables close to hand you can venture across the forest on horse back.

Days out:
The train offers many opportunities for days out to the surrounding areas. Of course you can travel to many different places in the forest and its surrounds by car.

Leisure and Pleasure:
If you are more in tune with rest and relaxation Brokenhurst has a good deal of eating and drinking facilities. However, you may wish to break the day up with a few rounds of Golf, or if you have the wish to truly pamper yourself you could try one of the local Spa's.
